Kevin Saunderson
The youngest Belleville schoolmate, Saunderson brought a pop sensibility that gave Detroit techno its first crossover hits. Through his project Inner City and the vocals of Paris Grey, tracks like "Big Fun" and "Good Life" reached dancefloors and radio far beyond Michigan. Where Atkins dreamed of the future and May ached, Saunderson built songs you could sing.
