"Touch Me I'm Sick" (Mudhoney)
Mudhoney's 1988 single, a snarling blast of fuzz and feedback that became an emblem of the early Sub Pop sound. Compact and abrasive, it distilled the scene's punk-garage attitude before grunge had a national audience. Among the first records to make the "Seattle sound" recognizable, it set the abrasive tone that later bands either embraced or softened.
