Release of Almendra's debut album

On 29 November 1969 Almendra released its self-titled debut, a landmark in the consolidation of rock nacional as serious album-length art. The record fixed Luis Alberto Spinetta as the movement's leading songwriter while still in his teens. Its arrival closed the movement's founding years on a note of literary ambition.
